This shift is driven by rising temperatures, crowd fatigue, and greater scheduling flexibility among travelers, especially retirees. Jamie Lane, Chief Economist at AirDNA, noted that the European rental market is “absolutely less seasonal than it used to be,” as Americans and others look for deals and quieter experiences beyond the traditional summer peak.
