New York’s Airbnb Crackdown, in Force for Two Years, Hasn’t Improved Housing Supply

Not all apartments or homes that previously operated as short-term rentals are now occupied by tenants with 12-month leases. Some property owners switched to renting for 30 days or longer. Maybe they like to have the apartment available for several weeks or months a year when family or adult children come to stay.
